  • A student's journey toward meeting standard is four years long.
  • Growth is the primary objective.
  • Responsibility for growth is shifted toward the student.
  • Students have voice and choice in how they will meet standard.
  • Documentation of growth is shared between the student and the teacher.
  • Students may resubmit work multiple times to meet standard.
